Message from Dr Rob Daniels

Dear patients,

28 years after first working at Townsend House as a trainee, and 24 years after joining as a full-time partner, I am now at a point in my career where I am looking for some new challenges alongside being a GP. In addition to my work at the surgery, I also work at the University of Exeter and, on a voluntary basis, for an NGO providing healthcare in rural Nepal, and intend to get more involved in the academic and humanitarian side of my work for the last few years of my career.

I appreciate it can be very challenging for my patients when they are unable to get routine appointments to see me, so after discussion with the other partners, we have agreed I will step back from the partnership and become a salaried GP, and my patient list will pass to Dr Jack Harding, who will be joining the practice soon. He is an excellent doctor, and I have no doubt he will provide the highest standards of traditional general practice care.

I will still be working at the practice 2 days a week and will be available for patients to book in and see me if they want to. If you have any queries or concerns about this change, please let the practice know. It has been a pleasure working with you all for the last 3 decades, and I look forward to continuing to work for the patients of Seaton, Beer and the Axe Valley.

Best wishes,

Dr Rob Daniels
