We make every effort to make the surgery accessible for all patients.
Townsend Medical Centre is located on a slope with easy access through the automatic double doors. Not far from the main entrance there is a disabled parking space. Inside the surgery is open with plenty of room.
Walrond Medical Centre is situated on level ground within a car park where normal packing charges apply. The front door is wide to allow access, and the surgery is reasonably spacious. There is plenty of parking, including disabled parking. Disabled parking is not located outside the surgery but there is room outside the surgery to drop off and collect if needed.
If you are experiencing hearing difficulties when being called in to see the doctor or nurse, please do let us know in order for us to set up an alert on your medical records and personally collect you from the waiting room. Alternatively, we do have the facility of a portable induction loop. If you would like to use this, please ask at reception for assistance.
At Townsend House Medical Centre we are limited on parking spaces – what we do have is reserved for patients. There is plenty of parking available along Harepath Road or other roads near to the surgery. We advise patients to allow themselves plenty of time before their appointment in case they need to park elsewhere.
Walrond Medical Centre in Beer is situated in the local authority car park where normal parking charges apply. Charges also apply to blue badge holders. Patients are advised to allow themselves plenty of time before their appointment in busier seasonal periods to ensure they can park.
